Oryza Sativa Bran Wax

The skin healing benefits of Oryza sativa have been known for centuries, in vitro biological antioxidant activity comparable to that of ascorbic acid and remarkable elastase inhibition activity which can be very beneficial in the preservation of elastin especially during menopause.

Rice bran oil is well known for its contents of antioxidant-rich components such as ferulic acid, gamma-oryzanol and phytic acid and has been used in the cosmetic industry [1] and also in the management of skin diseases [2]. Rice bran oil and rice bran extracts have been used in the free form and nanoencapsulated for protection against UVB-radiation injuries [3,4], for skin disease treatment [5,6]. Additionally, rice bran bioactive compounds have been found to exert anti-aging activity [7,8] and to be efficient in the treatment of alopecia.
